Urgora restaurant is located in Torre, a small charming village, in the County of Treviño, in the surroundings of Montaña Alavesa.
It opened its doors in 1996, in a stone house from the end of the 19th century, after a careful restoration. We have endeavored to preserve the authentic essence of the house, while giving it a personal touch, to ensure that those who visit us enjoy a pleasant and welcoming space with us.
Since then we have been offering creative cuisine with a clear Mediterranean aroma, respectful of products and flavors, very attentive to what each season offers and giving an enormous priority to product quality.
We work with small producers mainly from the environment, which has ensured us during these years to surprise and satisfy those who sit at our table.
For a few years we have been collaborating and being members of SlowFood, we participated in different workshops and taste workshops and received the mention "Restaurant Km0 2010-2011".
We are committed to training, and we run cooking and pastry courses and workshops. and conservation systems, in the restaurant as well as in other centers: Alternative cuisine space 220º, and Mendizorrotza Cooking School (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Eneldo Cooking School (Valencia), Julia Roque Cooking School (Vigo), etc. .
We have collaborated with UAGA and Diputación de Alava in the compilation and updating of traditional recipes from Alava, collected in a book entitled "Rural women from Alava through their recipes"; with the Zadorra Foundation and in the training spaces of the Abetxuko and Olarizu organic gardens organized by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council.
